Hackney Retail Interior
This bespoke retail interior design project was commissioned by a leading fashion agency, Concrete Studio, based in Hackney, East London.
The brief required a highly adaptable commercial space. On the ground floor, we designed a flexible fashion showroom capable of accommodating and showcasing a diverse number of distinct brands. Moving down into the basement, a dedicated new workspace and design studio were created specifically for Concrete Studio’s internal team.
This single, defining material unifies the multi-level space. It serves a dual purpose: establishing a minimalist backdrop for the clothing while concealing functional elements like storage cupboards, a private meeting area, and existing building services.more

Material Selection
To create a striking, industrial aesthetic that aligned with the agency’s brand, a textured, composite concrete board was used extensively throughout the interior.This single, defining material unifies the multi-level space. To provide complete flexibility for the fashion agency, pivoting openings were integrated into the concrete wall linings. These allow quick access at key locations, creating dynamic backdrops for temporary retail displays and seasonal fashion photoshoots. This contemporary concrete finish contrasts beautifully with the building’s original, exposed character brick walls.
