Terrazzo Stands
These terrazzo tables and display stands
expand on our exploration of expressing distinct geological identities in cast materials. Each table is comprised of two hand-cast parts with a through tenon joint. Available in several different colourways, the table is made using materials sourced from specific regions.
The stone aggregates include black basalt from Shropshire, Scottish red granite and Welsh green granite sourced from a quarry near the Brecon Beacons National Park.

The display stands are designed simply to provide an elevated centrepiece for gathering around and sharing. We set out to create the perfect object on which to place food gathered from the market, or a cake fresh from the oven.
Natural stone makes up about 70% of our terrazzo by weight. All of our stone is extracted in the UK, minimising carbon emissions by reducing transportation, whilst celebrating Britain’s diverse geological strata. The stone used in the terrazzo mix is a by-product from quarrying that would otherwise be a redundant material.
GGBS is used to replace up to half of the typical cement content, significantly reducing the material’s embodied energy. No environmentally harmful resins are used.
