Architecture for London has completed detailed design for a Wandsworth house extension.

The rear extension creates space for an open plan living and dining room with unobstructed garden views. The large kitchen features an island and separate breakfast bar. A new courtyard is created to maximise light into the rear reception room at ground floor and allow light into the basement.
The extension is clad in a dark grey Corian, a solid surface material often used for kitchen countertops. Corian is composed of an acrylic polymer that is non-porous, stain resistant and can have a seamless appearance. The material is also repairable and a light sanding can remove scratches. Sliding aluminium framed doors complete the rear elevation.
At first floor, the existing utility room is replaced with a new family bathroom, while a new utility is created in the side return extension at ground floor.
A loft conversion with a lead-clad rear dormer creates a new play space and a guest bedroom.
