Architecture for London has completed outline design for the refurbishment of a flat in South Kensington

The property is a second floor flat within a large mansion block on Whitehead Grove, in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

The flat is altered internally to provide an open plan arrangement between the kitchen and living room. A bifold screen allows the spaces to still be separated when required. The new bespoke kitchen will match joinery throughout the rest of the flat. Bathrooms are to be refurbished and an existing WC is relocated. A number of other alterations are proposed including installing a gas fire and new stone surrounds.
