1. Publishing Principles

Our blog serves as a platform for architectural discourse, project updates, client information and industry insights. We are committed to:

Accuracy: Ensuring all technical details, dimensions, and material specifications are verified before publication.
Clarity: Using accessible language to bridge the gap between professional architectural practice and the public.
Visual Integrity: Using original photography, credited renders, or licensed imagery that accurately represents the built environment.
Originality: Providing unique perspectives on design rather than duplicating existing industry press releases.

Ownership: This blog is owned and operated by Architecture for London Ltd, a registered architectural firm.
Funding: All content is funded directly by the practice as part of our outreach and marketing budget.
Commercial Interest: We do not accept paid “guest posts” or native advertising from contractors or suppliers. If a post features a specific product or software used in a project, it is chosen based on professional merit, and any commercial relationship (e.g., a formal partnership) will be explicitly disclosed.

We strive for perfection but acknowledge that errors can occur.

Promptness: We aim to correct substantive errors as soon as they are identified.
Transparency: When a significant correction is made, a note will be added to the bottom of the post (e.g., “Correction: This article originally stated the completion date was 2023; it was actually 2024”) to maintain a transparent record.
Reporting: Readers can report errors to mail@architectureforlondon.com.

Constructive Critique: We welcome feedback regarding our design choices, sustainability claims, or editorial tone.
Internal Review: Actionable feedback is shared with our design and editorial teams during reviews to improve both our writing and our professional practice.
Response: While we cannot respond to every comment, we prioritise feedback that raises valid technical or ethical questions.

As architects, our editorial content aligns with the RIBA and ARB Codes of Professional Conduct.

Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any personal or financial interest in a project or product they are writing about.
Attribution: We give clear credit to collaborators, including structural engineers, consultants and photographers.
Environmental Responsibility: We commit to being honest about the environmental impact of our projects, avoiding “greenwashing” by providing data-backed sustainability claims where possible.

We believe that a diverse range of voices strengthens the built environment.

Representation: We actively seek to feature projects and stories that reflect diverse users, cultures, and accessibility needs.
Sourcing: We aim to interview and quote a diverse range of consultants and specialists, looking beyond our immediate internal circle to include underrepresented voices in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry.
Inclusive Design: Our content will regularly highlight principles of inclusive and universal design.
