Architecture for London has completed outline design for a Lewisham house extension. The existing house is a large, bay-fronted Victorian semi detached home on a generous plot, located in Breakspears Road, Brockley.

The extension creates a larger kitchen and dining area with a new family room and space for entertaining. The faceted facade is clad in timber, with pitched roofs inspired by those of the existing house.
The house is located in the Brockley conservation area of Lewisham. The surrounding roads were laid out in the 1830s, with the majority of houses being built in the second half of the 19th century. Distinctive detailing includes stucco capitals and window surrounds, terracotta details and spacious front gardens.
