Architecture for London has completed an initial design session for a Kentish Town house extension project, in the borough of Camden.

This proposal extends a terraced Victorian house to provide a large open plan kitchen and dining room. The rear extension allows enhanced views of the garden. Externally the extension is finished in matching brick, with glazed doors leading to a new terrace. A large skylight is located to the rear of the extension to bring natural light into the rear reception room.

The property is located within the Kentish Town conservation area. Original buildings are generally three storeys, forming continuous terraces in London stock brick. There are stuccoed and half stuccoed houses throughout the conservation area, typical of the mid nineteenth century.
