We have an opportunity for an administration manager to join our team in London.

We are a central London based contractor with an architect-led design and build service. We work alongside Architecture for London, an award-winning architecture practice dedicated to the creation of inspirational and sustainable architecture and interiors.

We are looking for an administrator / finance manager with experience in the construction industry.

The ideal candidate should be looking to build experience and responsibility.

This is a full-time role based at our studio in Farringdon.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the business finances
  • Purchasing
  • Project management support

Finance:

  • Liaising with accountants
  • Invoicing clients
  • Assisting with production of quotes
  • Fee proposals, payment schedules, forecasts and accounts
  • Thorough understanding of CIS and VAT required
  • Previous experience of using WorkFlowMax and Xero is strongly beneficial

Purchasing:

  • Arranging quotes
  • Paying suppliers and subcontractors
  • Building relationships with suppliers

Project management:

  • Supporting senior team with managing construction schedules and programmes
  • Supporting construction site teams
  • We use smart apps such as Buildertrend
  • Liaising with clients
  • Meeting organisation
  • Contract creation
  • Document control

Other tasks:

  • Help ensure that the company complies with statutory obligations, including health and safety
  • Organisation of site team training
  • Prepare and edit documents, reports and letters
  • Supporting the senior team in business development

Essential skills:

  • A solid knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong communicator
  • High standard of written and spoken English
  • Proactive and logical approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workloads

Preferred skills:

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within residential construction in London
  • Interest in architecture
  • Interest in sustainability
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign
  • Experience in IT support

Salary will be commensurate with ability and experience.
