Architecture for London has completed detailed design for a De Beauvoir house extension.
View Architecture for London’s portfolio of recent residential projects.
The property, in the borough of Hackney, is an unusual double fronted house with a shallow depth, this gives good natural light at all levels in the house. The new extension is a modern, minimal glass space that spans the full width of the rear garden.
A new suspended steel stair leads down from the main hall to the open plan living space at lower ground floor. The proposed kitchen is a bespoke design with veneered oak cabinetry and precast concrete work surfaces.
Location: Culford Road, De Beauvoir, N1
Project architect: Tom Dawson
