Ealing house extension
4th Apr 2014

Architecture for London has completed an initial design session for an Ealing house extension
View Architecture for London’s portfolio of recent residential projects.
The property is a large detached Victorian house on Mount Park Road, which will be significantly enlarged with a full width rear extension, new garden room and a loft conversion with full height glass within a dormer to the rear.
The rear extension creates an open plan kitchen and living space with a new stair down to an existing basement level. At the upper levels a new master suite is designed with a generous dressing room and ensuite bathroom. The garden room provides a gym and yoga studio with a glass wall that overlooks the garden.
The house is within the Mount Park conservation area, which has a relatively consistent character of mainly Victorian and Edwardian houses from the late 19th century. Houses in the area are mainly detached or semi-detached, are of generous proportions and occupy large plots. Houses are built in a variety of London stock and red bricks laid in Flemish bond with stucco trimming.
